I explored the Snæfellsnes Peninsula on a day tour from Reykjavik.  The volcanic scenery and coastal areas were fascinating.  Although the pictures turned out great, I would probably rank this as my least impressive place in Iceland (perhaps because it was a freezing cold day!).
